After brief moments of a confused look that turned to happy recognition, Tucker finally realized that his dad had been gone for a few days. Michael, who is very smart, knew all along that his father had been in California. According to Michael, Mike was "in California brushing his teeth with his toothbrush" all week. [The ADA should be relieved because if Mike had been home all week, Michael would have been sharing his ice cream with him (or so he said). I think a week's worth of toothbrushing wins out over ice cream consumption at those dental conferences.]
