Fat Lip

The picture doesn't really do this justice. Tucker, during a toy-truck driving escapade this morning, had a major crash that brought his mouth and a wooden banister together. After some blood, tears, a lot of lip swelling, and his first visit to the dentist, he was given the all clear--those top two teeth will survive! He was a trooper, but awfully glum all day.

Matters only seemed worse when he awoke from his afternoon nap with a 103-degree fever. The fever was thankfully just a reaction to his shots from a week prior (Measels, Mumps, Rubella, and Chickenpox vaccines).

Tucker had a crummy day, but it's hard to conceal his joy once the camera comes out.

STATS:

For those keeping track, we have the results of the one-year and the three-year check-ups.

Tucker weighs in at the 25th percentile with a slim 21lbs., 2oz. He is 30.5 inches long--placing him in the 75th percentile for height.

Michael, my sturdy little fellow, has reached 90th percentile for height and weight. Standing at 3 ft., 3 in., my man weighs in at a solid 36 lbs.

Dr. Starr predicts our boys will be 6 ft. tall and 200 lbs. when full-grown. REALLY?!?! When I told him Mike's a lithe and strong 5'10", 160, Starr wavered a little and started asking about grandparents. I think someone's sneaking growth hormones into our food.

Beyond the statistics, Michael and Tucker are doing well. Both are healthy and typically happy.
