Snowpocalypse III - The Search for Salt

Honestly, no one is searching for salt anymore. We're moving from the depression stage to the final stage - acceptance.
Here are a few highlights:
Montgomery County stopped plowing - it was too dangerous for their vehicles.
Their County Executive cancelled his press conference re: the snow...on account of snow.
State roads were described as "beyond treacherous".
People were told that if their car got stuck, to not leave their car because they might get disoriented. (And of course were warned to run the car to stay warm but to crack the windows to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning.)
But my favorite warning was from a weather site: If you go out to clear your step, make sure someone inside knows your location.
Can you imagine going outside to shovel your step, and being overcome and buried in snow? To the point where no one would find you if they didn't know where you were?
Here's an idyllic photo out the (home) office window. It's about 3 1/2 feet.
